Why the Gucci family wants to file a complaint against the movie House of Gucci<

Like the relatives of Céline Dion who condemned the film Aline, the heirs of the Luxury Italian House Gucci threatened on Monday to bring legal action against the film by Ridley Scott House of Gucci, which they accuse ofportray family members as "hooligans".
The film seizes one of the most resounding news in Italy in the 1990s, the assassination of Maurizio Gucci (played by Adam Driver), heir to the Italian house, sponsored by his ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani (Lady Gaga).
"The Gucci family reserves the right to take any initiative to protect its name and image, as well as those of their relatives," said a letter published by the Italian press agency Ansa and signed by the heirs of Aldo Gucci (1905-1990), the founder of the luxury brand.
The letter specifies that the Gucci heirs were particularly injured by the description of Patrizia Reggiani, "a woman condemned for having commanded the murder of Maurizio Gucci [presented] as a victim".She also regrets that Aldo Gucci and her relatives are portrayed as "hooligans, ignorant and insensitive to the world around them".

If the Gucci family claims to have been in contact with the entourage of Ridley Scott in the 2000s when the director started to work on this project, she assures that she had not been contacted since, despite the changes of scenarios and artistic ambitions.The casting of the film also seems to upset the heirs of the creator, and the roles of Aldo and Paolo Gucci, son and grandson of Guccio Gucci, and those of the father and grandfather of Patrizia Gucci, respectively embodied by Al Pacino andJared Leto, disturb the family.
