Who's next 2022, 4 days of discovery of international fashion trends<

From 21 to 24 January 2022, the Porte de Versailles hosted the 25th edition of the who's next exhibition, a visit to ready-to-wear collections.

Who's next 2022, Paris Porte de Versailles

Since 1994, the WHO's next, aimed primarily at buyers from around the world, has been the leading trade show presenting the new collections of ready-to-wear brands, accessories, beauty and lifestyle to fashion professionals.

While it was originally presented under a small circus tent set on the macadam of a parking lot in Hall 7 of the Exhibition Park, the fair has since taken on a completely different dimension and now occupies 2 entire halls of the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Park in Paris.

Hosting brands and buyers from around the world, twice a year (in January and September), this is the first event of its kind in Europe. 45 000 visitors are expected for each edition, 70% of which are buyers retailers, multi-brands, department stores and e-commerce.

Agents, journalists, purchasing offices, stylists, schools and trend offices also meet there to discover and communicate market trends to the general public.

Beyond ready-to-wear, it is the reference point for finding accessories, beauty products, lifestyle objects, innovative solutions for distributors and brands.

The selection of brands of Ambre Delcroix.

To enhance African know-how and ethical fashion, our journalist Ambre has selected for you 3 brands out of the hundreds present this year.

MANSAYA, coloured Pan-African brand

The brand was born twelve years ago from the association of 2 passionate women a Malian designer and a Cameroonian visionary, who wanted an authentic adventure, unique and meaningful.

Mansaya celebrates the woman through bold and colorful creations, mainly made with wax fabric. The creations are sold between Africa, France and Belgium at a very reasonable price range.

Higland Leather

The brand is an eco-friendly, inclusive project developed between Ethiopia and Japan. The goal is to promote an exceptional leather of sheep raised in the Ethiopian mountains (more than 3000 metres), to work for the empowerment of women and to create fair, quality and competitively priced products.

A label has been created to protect this leather and the ancestral process that gives it this incomparable quality. It is a Japanese project that supports Ethiopian entrepreneurs in the implementation of this concept. A high quality luggage room to discover!

May 2 Paris values textile falls!

May 2 Paris is a concept of mixed clothing made in France, based on the values of upcycling, wanting to give life to unique clothes, bearers of history.

His ambition is to hatch clothes that are constantly reinvented while celebrating the human adventure of producing a poetic garment of "real life", celebrating a popular culture through eclectic, uncomplicated, flamboyant and incarnate models.

The brand reuses forgotten textiles: end of stock, vintage fabrics and embroidered canvas acquired from embroidered yarn.

Some trendy objects found at the Hazard of the stands: quilted leather gaiters and a futuristic wax jacket (designer unknown, from a fashion school).
