How I Met Your Father: critic of the first two episodes<

Distribution date: January 18, 2022 Diffusion platform: Hulu Episode: 1.01 & 1.02 Titles: Pilot, Fomo Director: Pamela Fryman Scriptwriters: Isaac Aptaker, Elizabeth Berger, Carter Bays, Craig Thomas, Emily Spivey Interpreters: Hilary Duff, Christopher Lowell, Francia Raisa, Suraj Sharma, Tom Ainsley, Tien Tran, Kim Cattrall, StonyBlyden

Those who follow me probably already understood that I am not a fan of remakes.Unless they are presented from a completely new angle (like the Prince of Bel Air who goes from Sitcom to Dramatic) there is no creative reason to make a remake: it is a purely economic decision which consists ofSurf the success of a series to try to easily make cash. One might however believe that, since the time that Hollywood is reminiscent and re-successful films and series, producers have realized that it is not a recipe that seduces the public. But no, they persist and sign, for the greatest sadness of these myriads of unknown authors who have great ideas and a lot of talent but, alas, not the right network...

So How I Met Your Father, it's useless. It’s boring, flat, without any humor, without even the slightest splendor of intelligence.Hilary Duff (Sophie), so relevant in Younger, has the charisma of a pink marshmallow.Chris Lowell (Jesse) is transparent - he was never a big actor, but in Veronica Mars, at least he was endearing.Only one good surprise, Tom Ainsley (unknown to the battalion) who plays the role of Charlie, an English Noblem who tries to find his marks in New York. But his lost air and his beautiful costumes will never be able to make us forget the brilliant Neil Patrick Harris, the barney of How I Met Your Mother. The other three actors are as useful as a meringue on a lemon pie: a lot of sugar, no taste and it sticks to the teeth. As for Kim Cattrall (the Sophie of 2050 which tells her children how she met their father), she plays like a sneaker.

How I Met Your Father : Critique des deux premiers épisodes

I do not see the point of telling you these first two episodes, but I have to do it, that is part of my moral contract:

Pilot: Sophie finally meets the guy with whom she fell in love with chatting on Tinder, but he leaves to settle in Australia. What a desappointment !In the Uber who brings her to her date, she sympathizes with the driver, Jesse and her friend Sid who will ask her sweet in marriage.Sophie's roommate Valentina presents her new guy, Charlie, whom she brought back from her trip to London and who is as comfortable in New York as a fish out of the water. And to say that the entire "Writers" has been credited for that...

Episode 2: Valentina tries to help Charlie to make friends by bringing him in the evening in a nightclub so that he sympathizes with Sid and Jesse.Jesse believes that the evening was organized so that he could flirt Sophie who is fighting her, while Jesse's sister, Ellen, despairs of finding the woman of her life.

I will not go further, neither in this criticism, nor in this series because I have much better to do my time.Do you want to see beautiful and good?I recommend the magnificent After Life on Netflix.
