An entire week of fashion looks detailed by American influencer Emma Chamberlain for the “7 Days, 7 Looks” series!

Four years ago now, Emma Chamberlain launched her eponymous YouTube channel. Success was not long in coming for his videos in the form of a digital diary. The first, “We All Owe The Dollar Store An Apology,” propelled her right into the media limelight, and she was going to stay there. It must be said that the sarcastic and spontaneous tone of a teenager who does not take herself too seriously was enough to refresh the canvas. Result ? 10.4 million subscribers on YouTube, 13.4 on Instagram. The triumph of humour, if we may say so, which has also manifested itself in the creation of podcasts - “Stupid Genius” and more recently “Anything Goes” - which the most enthusiastic await each week with the greatest impatience . Emma Chamberlain thus embodies the new generation of influencers that fashion is snapping up. From 2019, we found her at the Louvre Museum where she posed alongside Nicolas Ghesquière during the Louis Vuitton fall-winter 2019-2020 show. She says: “I was 17 or 18 and I had never been to a fashion show before. I don't think I really realized how cool it was and how it was going to change my life.” And that's an understatement. Proof of this growing power, she won the 2018 Breakout Creator's Streamy Award, and the following year, she was included in Time magazine's "Time 100 Next" ranking and its list of the 25 most influential people on the Internet.

For the “7 Days, 7 Looks” series, the Vogue teams set up their cameras in the Californian's dressing room, for a thorough deciphering of what a fashion week means to her. Starting with a definite interest in casual pieces: a vintage Levi's 501 - his passion! Shoppers are a “spiritual experience” in his own words – paired with a white tank top and oversized leather jacket, all accessorized with a Vincent Van Gogh motif bag from the Masters Collection by Louis Vuitton x Jeff Koons, a pair of sunglasses and Dr. Martens. Simple and efficient. “I can wear this 4 times a week, but I can turn it into 4 different outfits. […] What I love about all of this is that each piece is timeless.” However, for special occasions, Emma Chamberlain, who claims not to like feeling overdressed, does not hesitate to create a style of her own. How ? By mixing them, precisely. With the chic of a short Alessandra Rich dress, she juxtaposes Marc Jacobs chunky platform boots (she also hates heels) and a mini Paco Rabanne bag. We get the cool girl we all want as a friend.

Looks for work based on UGG slippers, for going on vacation with a desire for extravagance, for Sunday brunch, “incognito but always a bit chic”… So many possibilities which illustrate a very personal conception of the fashion. "A lot of my outfit choices only make sense in my mind, and I'm crossing my fingers that I don't look ridiculous. […] I am constantly cheating and pretending that I tried harder than I really did.” And it works wonders for the new queen of vlogging.
