For his part, the Minister of National Education, Jean-Michel Blanquer, announced that he wanted to organize debates on the environment the same day in all French high schools, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.."It is a question of manifesting the importance of this subject", and of "working on concrete things that can be proposed so that the high school students themselves are committed", he explains.Which does not convince the association Youth for Climate, which judges this act as a "desperate gesture" aimed at "stifling the disputes that will express themselves in the streets that day".She therefore enjoins the students to go to the strike.
