Everyone has at least one shirt in their closet.The wealthiest have more than one!It is worn every day and more particularly to dress with elegance.Few people, however, know that the shirt is one of our oldest clothes.

It existed long before theMiddle Ages.Indeed, the oldest preserved was discovered by an Egyptologist, W.M.Flinders Petrie, in a tomb in Egypt.Entirely in linen, its ancestor is a tunic, in the shape of a collar or cuffs.She was fired over her head.

Since the highest antiquity, the shirt has been carried as much by the emperors, the warlords as by the common people, in the countryside as in the city.
